Poutine

This is one of the best known Canadian recipes and is very popular in the country, especially in Quebec, the poutine is made with chips, gravy sauce and curd cheese. In Canada gravy sauce is found in powder form, making it easier to prepare, but here in Brazil you can make yours. Take a look:

Ingredients

30 ml (2 tablespoons) unsalted butter
30 ml (2 tablespoons) of wheat flour
2 cups of broth
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1 kg of English potatoes
500 g of curd cheese

Mode of preparation

In a pan melt the butter, add the wheat flour and mix for 5 minutes or until the mixture becomes golden, add the garlic, salt and pepper and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the broth and bring to boil. Mix on low heat until the mixture thickens. Reserve.

Peel, cut and fry the potatoes.

Throw the diced curd cheese and the sauce on the potatoes. And it is ready to eat!
